This beautiful Madhubani painting is combination of Kachani (Line work) and Bharani (Fill in colours). It originates from Mithilanchal region of Bihar, India. Outlines of a painting is done directly with a brush and then the colours are filled in. A nib dipped in acrylic colours is used to draw intricate lines/ various other textures inside a shape.
